Editing in photoshop from Apple Photos

• It's easy to right click on a photo in apple's photo app and edit the photo in photoshop. My problem/question relates to saving the image after editing in photoshop. All I want to do is save the edits I made in PS so they reflect back in photos. 
  Can anyone advise? If I click safe I need to choose a file format and the adjustments don't always reflect back in photos 
• any advice welcome

You will need to save the photo and then import it into Photos. Photos can even import a .PSD file.

However, I think there is a one step answer that just saves the edits automatically
