Enforcing Action menu to button mode

Hey All!

I am looking for a way to keep my action menu in "button mode." However, after running an action, it switches back to "menu mode."

I tried recording and adding it as the action's first step or last step, but it won't take. After playing an action, I always end up in menu mode.

any ideas from you wonderful collective geniuses? 🙏🏻

What version of Photoshop and operating system are you using?

Photoshop 25.6.0 and Mac OS Sanoma 14.2.1

I wanted to update Photoshop, but for some reason it is crazy slow.

I'd reset preferences and see if that fixes it. Settings/Preferences->General and click the Reset Preferences On Quit button
