Unexpected end-of-file is a corrupt file. Corrupt files are very rarely recoverable.
File corruption is always caused by failing hardware. Not to jump to conclusions, but since you're not giving any details: a very common scenario is saving directly to external storage and/or over a network connection. External drives get bumped around a lot, causing cables and connectors to become unstable. Network connections are always risky. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/networks-removable-media-photoshop.html
