Could not initialize Photoshop because of a disk error.

I get this error when I launch Photoshop that is running of the creative cloud desktop app. I am not aware of anything I did to effect a change, but it's always possible.

Now what?

Hi @Cory25810513g4tn, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. What system and version are you running? This thread suggests installing the Media Feature Pack if you are using Windows. Maybe start there and see if that fixes it.

Otherwise, how much free disk space you have? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet? Did you reset your Preferences? Instructions are here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

You may need to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop or revert to a previous version if you were stable there. Are you able to launch Photoshop at all? If so, under Help > System Info, copy and paste the text in a new reply here, and we'll take a look to see if we can figure out what's going on!
