Hey all,
I'm attempting to save an image as a PNG and keep getting the error: "Could not save as [filename] because the file name was not valid." This keeps happening no matter what I name the file, whether it contains hyphens and numbers or just letters. Any idea why this is happening?
For reference, I'm working on OSX Ventura 13.0 in Photoshop 24.0.0.
Thanks!

Any luck with File > Export > Export As... See if choosing .png there works.

I haven't tried, in part because I'm trying to save a large file - 46,467 x 8,698 pixels - and 'Export as' won't let me work at 100% scale.

So I'm not sure if the problem is Photoshop 24 or MacOS Ventura. Can you open it in another graphics program and see if you can save as Png there? Sorry for the delay. I can only run Catalina and Photoshop 23.

Also you may want to file a bug report:

I was able to export the same file to PNG via lightroom so it does appear to be an issue with Photoshop. I will file a bug report and hopefully Adobe produces a fix.

@alexanderd95686655 hi, when you fill this report, DO state that the PNG you are trying to save is 46K pixels wide, as you did not state it in your first post here, and it is a very important parameter.
