are you trying to upgrade? Why not try uninstalling everything. Then try downloading the Photoshop Trial. Then you can sigin in and hopefully it all works.

Unfortunately this did not work. I uninstalled all of my photoshops,
installed the trial version, and still receive the same error message : “
some of the application components are missing from the application
directory. Please reinstall the application.“
No luck. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi @hganzler, sorry you are having this issue. What is your process for doing a clean install?  We suggest using your Creative Cloud app to do this.

Close Photoshop
Restart the computer
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Photoshop
Restart the computer
Install Photoshop via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
Restart the computer
LaunchPhotoshop
Wait 5 minutes... does the error persist?

Thank you,

-- Cory

Sorry to hear that this did not work. The trial for sure has everything you need. Maybe  you need a clean uninstall? Click here and at the bottom they have an uninstaller cleaner that should do a better job removing files. So try the cleaner,  restart, and see if that works. If not  you can call Adobe and they can try to walk you thru the process while sharing your screen.

Best,
