Every time I use layer masks it paints gray dots. Help please

Have you tried to change Brush? We can not see which brush preset is in use but I have seen brush presets like that.

Please post screenshot of entire window with Layers panel visible and explain problem with more details: what is your goal and what steps you are taking.
