external glow problem

I have created a simple live art rectange and I am applying an Outer Glow to it

The problem I am having is that the Outer Glow is appearing inside, as well as, outside the rectangl

How can I have the outer glow appear only on the outside? (I thought it would do this by defaul

I created an object with contrasting color so that I could test, and was not able to duplicate the problem.

Check if your layer has some semitransparent pixels on the edges. That could cause the glow to go inside.
