Facing issues with Photoshop

I have recently purchased a Intel Evo Laptop and I am facing issues with Photoshop. Specifically, the program is running very slow and lagging when I try to edit large files. I have tried reducing the number of open tabs and clearing the cache, but the problem persists. I have also checked for any updates for the Photoshop and my graphics card driver, but everything appears to be up to date. I am now considering reaching out to Adobe's customer support for assistance.

Hi Judy,

I'm sorry for the week's delay in seeing your post. You posted to Photoshop Fix, which is not Photoshop. I've moved your post for you.

Does your laptop meet or exceed the recommended requirements?

  • How much RAM?
  • How big is your hard drive?
  • How much free space do you have on your hard drive?
  • How big are your files?
  • Does PS work okay when you have smaller files?

Without knowing details and hearing that it's large files that are slowing you down, it could be an issue with scratch disk space. PS requires a large amount of free space; the exact amount depends on the size of the files. PS also works best with 16gb or more of RAM.

You might go to Help > System Info > Copy, then paste the entire contents into a new Reply window so we can better assist.
