Facing Problem with Lasso Tool

Can anyone please help me how he's able to fill those area shown in the video? he's not filling with paint bucket as still the lasso is selected. I can't understand, please help me out!

My best guess would be the keyboard shortcut Alt + Backspace to fill with Foreground color.

Option + Delete on a Mac

The Foreground Color being what's set in the tools panel Foreground Color chip.
