file is not onscreen. it seems to 'flicker' when I try to scroll it down to fit on screen.

I suddenly do not have a full view of my file. when i open it, it is mostly off screen (at the top) and when i try to scroll down, it seems to flicker, but does not move.

What exact version of Photoshop are you using, if it's version 22.5 try enabling this option in preferences to see if it helps

thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately it's 22.3.0 and that option is not available.

Have you tried updating Photoshop, the current version is 22.5, there's also an update for version 22.3.0, latest one for your version is 22.3.1

Do you have a laptop connected to larger screen and now have it disconnected?
