File name not highlighting when choosing save as

Whenever i'm trying to save a file and choose save as nothing in the text box is highlighted at all and i have to manually click into the name to change it, this becomes an enormous issue and workflow killer when I'm attempting to save dozens of files in a row and cant just Save as and start typing. Is there a fix to this?

What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?

Can you post a screenshot of what your seeing?
