Hi @Westiron,
Sorry you're missing your files.
Do you know if you saved them to a cloud location or locally to your system?
Do you remember the filename? You might try using macOS Spotlight to search for them, maybe they're there somewhere?

If you can get back into Photoshop try...
File > Open Recent
If this works, immediately do a...
File > Save As

Yes. I saved multiple versions of the finished file both as a working .psdc file & flattened jpeg and web optimized .png.. The follwing morning all seemed normal saved version looked normal sitting neatly as icons in the correct folder withj included functioning file previews, business as usual.. until i double clicked "open" when each file just straight up just vanished

Could the files have been hidden somehow as opposed to getting deleted? Programs like Adobe Bridge (comes free with Creative Cloud) allow for hidden files to be displayed.
View > Show Hidden Files

Hi @Westiron sorry to hear this. Could you share any screenshots of what you are seeing, or a video of you trying to open a file and then it vanishing? We need more information to be able to offer any help.
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
