Ps 23.0.1
While loading the filter gallery to a smart object I had to go away from the computer and it went into powersafe mode. After waking up, I had the problem, filter gallery was hanging. Please check also video attached.
Force quit of Ps was inevitable.
The recovery file was loaded without any problems, the last two steps missing: Stamp all edits to a new layer (Shift+Option+Cmd+E) and turning it into a smart object.
Btw: Ps does not prevent computer going to sleep while doing something (you may check this by terminal command "pmset -g"). If the computer goes to sleep, all Adobe functions are interrupted also. That's generally bad behaviour.
FCP e.g. keeps computer running until task is finalised. Then it releases computer and power safe prevention is no longer blocked. Apple has API for that, Adobe is not using.
