Hello,

I am looking for the best subscription plan for my company because I need access to both the Photoshop API and Firefly API for a very specific task. I do not need access to the full Creative Cloud suite, so I want to make sure I choose the right plan without paying for unnecessary tools.

What I need to do (workflow):

Use the Photoshop API to detect and isolate the main object in an image (e.g., a sofa) using Select Subject or Remove Background.
Use the Firefly API to generate a new background based on a custom prompt while keeping the main object unchanged.

What I already know:

  • Firefly Services is not available as a bundled product including multiple APIs (Firefly, Photoshop, Lightroom, Content Tagging).
  • Firefly API must be purchased separately (it became an independent product on February 12, 2025).
  • Each tool has its own API, but access is limited.
  • I need to confirm which specific plan includes both APIs and any usage restrictions (e.g., credit-based, per-call pricing, or unlimited access).

What I need to clarify now:

  • What exact plan should I subscribe to in order to have access to both APIs?
  • What are the usage limits for each API (Photoshop and Firefly)?
  • Is the API usage credit-based, per request, or is there an unlimited option?
  • Is it possible to perform my task only using Photoshop API? I've read that Firefly is supposly integrated into Photoshop, but I am not sure if it provides the same level of generative AI capabilities as the standalone Firefly API.

I would appreciate your comments.

Thank you all of you!

FireFly announced a subscription plan yesterday when AI video went live.  Note those prices are New Zealand dollars (USD is roughly half NZD at the moment).  So I'm guessing you would need the Firefly Pro subscription, plus the Creative Cloud  Photography plan.

Thank you so much for your responde. I would also like to ask you, if you know if API usage is integrated into Adobe Firefly Standard/Pro, and whether generative credits can be consumed via the API while programming? Also, do you know if the business plan (Photoshop picture below) include API access, or is it a separate purchase?

I am not sure if I am planning my workflow correctly using both tools. Would it be possible to confirm whether my task can be fully automated with just Photoshop API, or if Firefly API is absolutely necessary for my use case? I want to ensure I am choosing the right subscription before making a purchase.

Again, thank you so much for your clarification. Thanks again for your help!

Prices below are for Spain.
