Hi @gabrielar58077941 Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.  Quit and relaunch PS.

Hey, @gabrielar58077941. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. What specific version of Photoshop & the operating system are you working on? Does this happen after a series of steps?

Try this:

Go to Photoshop (Top left) > Settings > Performance > Advanced Settings... > disable 'GPU Compositing'
Click Ok to save changes & restart Photoshop.

Let me know if the issue exists.
Thanks!

Sameer K

This worked for me and I'm running the 25.1.0 release.  Thank you!

Kevin, that feature is only available in the beta version now.  I've seen nothing about why this is the case, and it is a real pity because it seemed to fix just about any display related issues.  I'll probably sit back and watch as regards this thread, as I have limited Mac experience.

If I had to take a stab at it, I'd be asking if the user has other pointer devices like a trackpad or tablet, and if yes, is the stylus a bit to close or sitting on the tablet, or is something vaguely skin like sitting on the trackpad?  Then I'd be thinking about the mouse API.

I had the same issue. Really irritating. None of the above worked for me until I updated my Mac software to, 14.1.1. Seems fine now.

This bug just showed up for me in Photoshop 2023 when I updated to 24.7.4. I don't jump to new versions if the version I am running is working well, mostly because of things like this. Adobe's QC cannot be trusted. Updated on a whim this time, and instantly regretted it.  I have no touchpad or tablet attached, just the same mouse I've been using for a couple years.

I did everything that has been suggested here, but it had no noticable effect. Frustrated to find out that updating to 2024 might not even fix the issue.
