i know there have been a few questions about this here, but maybe we can bundle the problems. the following are the "flickering" problems i'm having right now.

Photoshop:
2022: after opening a psd photoshop freezes.
(Version before: every menu flickered first and then eventually froze).
2021: same problem
2020: this version runs stable

Lightroom:
Menus flicker, no matter which version. (from 10 to latest)
after a few minutes, edits on the current image are not visible, you have to select another image first and go back.
If after a portrait image comes a landscape image (or the other way around) the image is displayed distorted. -> You have to zoom in and out of the image.
You can't select anything in the Color/Saturation menu item.
the Filter function either does not react at all, or only after minutes.

Quitting Lightroom takes several minutes.

Camera Raw: also flickering

2 weeks ago lightroom 10.3. worked without errors, the problem was only from version 11. Now it does not matter which version.

Nothing has changed on my computer compared to before, except a complete reinstallation and that Windows is now on an NVMe SSD.

System Windows
32Gb RAM
Geforce 1050ti
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x

ok. my solution, but no guarantee that it helps with others. especially since the problems occurred only after a Windows reinstall, but before that it was running.

I have: DVI duallink to HDMI cable.
LG32 4K monitor.
Despite DVI - had 4k and 60hz worked.
Today I saw that the monitor had HDMI Ultra HD True Color enabled.
I disabled that - from then on I only had 30hz, but the flickering was gone.

At the same time I had already ordered a HDMI cable.
With the flickering is now gone, even if HDMI Ultra H

Do you get any error messages? If yes please post the exact message or apropriate screenshots.

Which Windows version do you use?

If would try to deactivate the GPU support in Lightroom and the check.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step should be to reset the preferences in Lightroom and/or Photoshop.

Is your system up-to-date, especially the drivers for the graphic card and the mainboards chipset ?

  1. Do you have G-Sync enabled? If so disabled it.
  2. If you're using a gaming mouse (Logitech G700S or similar) with a custom driver, set the polling rate to 125 Hz in the device driver.

hello, I do not have GSync or other extra graphics options enabled.

I have now disabled the graphics card support.

Indeed, the flickering is gone, but Photoshop (year 2021/22) of course does not run as smooth now.
Lightroom is "ok."

If I turn the graphics card back on, it's like this:
Photoshop 2022: flicker and as soon as I open a PDS nothing reacts.
2021: flicker. when I open a PSd, I first have to click on the desktop for Photoshop to react.

Photoshop 2020 works fine with grafphic card support.

WIindows is up to date, Photoshop/Lightroom as well (update from 11/19).

No error messages.
