I recently updated to the latest version of Photoshop (v23.0) and now when I set a type layer's color, the color doesn't match the color it's supposed to be. If I set the font's color to #FF0000, eyedroppered, it reveals it actually appears as #FF2A0C. Even on a new document, this inconsistency happens. Other shapes or color fills render the color exactly and correctly.
I am on Windows 10 20H2 19042.1288.

I've never touched those settings before, but this is what I have on that.

Thanks. Can you post your PSD that exhibits this behavior? (CC Files/dropbox)

That's strange. I am not able to reproduce this issue anymore. This would have affected existing files and new files. On both systems, I am now on version 23.0.1. Perhaps it got fixed in that update? I'd have to see if I can install 23.0 on a different machine to see if this wasn't just a strange, one-time fluke.

If you can figure out how to make it happen with current version, let me know.

I was able to find a document I created when the bug was still occuring.

However, when trying to change the font color from the Type panel of an affected layer, you can see the colors correct themselves and any update or committed change to this old text box will fix the bug. So it's possible it was fixed in the 23.0.1 update.
