Using Photoshop v25.1.0 (not beta) on Windows 10 Pro:
Since v25.0, the font vertical spacing function (Alt+up/down arrows) has issues.
Just updated to v25.1.0 and the problem still exists. Also in v25.1.0, changing font size is sometimes impossible.
UPDATE: Rolled back to v25.0; font bug followed, so rolled back to v24.7.2 and it still fllowed. Photoshop is totally unusable until this is fixed. There has to be something left behind after uninstalling v25.1.0, which is also causing the same issues when installing previous versions.

Can you tell us more precisely what you mean when you say "issues"?
So we can better assist, we also need a screenshot that includes:

Can't take a screen shot of the problem. When I create text box, I can only describe it. No matter what font size is entered into the appropriate box, the cursor size looks to be around 5 pixels. I can change the pixel number, but the cursor and font size remains small (first appeared in v25.1.0)
The other problem which first appeared in v25.0.0 happens when trying to increase or decrease the line spacing using ALT+up or down arrow. The entire typed text spacing disappears (multiple lines of text are scruched together into one line). This can be adjusted normally after the bug happens.

Without seeing your settings in the Character panel with your text selected, we can only make guesses. In Windows you can use the Snipping tool to take a screenshot.
You can try resetting the Type tool. Right-click the Type tool in the options bar (not Tools panel) and choose Reset tool.

Resetting the type tool doesn't work. I've gone all the way back to v24.1.1 and the problem still exists. This didn't happen before installing the v25.1.0 version. I'm wondering if this is a font thing rather than a photoshop issue. Are there any reports of other Adobe apps having the same problem?
There's no error message involved, and a screen shot will show nothing relevant. Font size defaults to 18 pixels and can't be changed.
