Hey all,
The free transform tool simply will not work whatsoever in photoshop 2023. Anytime I try and scale, rotate etc. a layer in photoshop I get a "could not complete your request because of a program error" message. I have tried everything the internet has suggested to "fix" this issue. Uninstall and re-install, uncheck graphics processor buttons in plug-in and performance settings but nothing is working. NEED HELP! SOS! lol
Everything was working fine last week. My laptop is older (2016) but it has a good graphics card and plenty of spce on the scratch disk to do what I need to do. Never had this issue before and PSD 2023 was working just fine in every aspect for me last week.
Update to 24.1.1 FIXED!!!!!!

Hi @evan77 sorry to hear this.
Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:
Restore your preferences using this manual method:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
Does it work correctly?
If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
Thank you,
Cory

Editar>Preferências>Desempenho: desmarquei a opção "Usar processador gráfico".
Pronto, a ferramenta "Transformação Livre" voltou a funcionar.
Espero que esse processo ajude vocês.
Abraços.
