Freeze Mask Tool / Thaw Mask Tool in Liquify not Working

I have MacBook pro M1. 
I found out that Freeze Mask Tool and Thaw Mask Tool don't have a working.
I draw with them, but nothing happens.
problem solution:
Filter / Liquify / (Right menu) View Options / check the box on "Show Mask"
