Frustrating photoshop freezes and display issues.

I miss photoshop cs6 or 19. 
To many freezes , lags and display issues in windows 10. 
This is so frustraing. I have to close ps and reopen again many times.  Loss of time and money both. If my company is paying adobe money, photoshop should have fixes for this issues.

Adobe is lucky that photoshop has certain level of monopoly.
I almost never post in community but this is super frusting.

The first I see you're using Photoshop versin 24.6. This isn't the recent version, it's 24.7. The recent version includes several bugfixes. So install the latest update and try agian.

I see the bigger problem with the graphics driver. It's 40 month old. Please install the latest version Studio version (not the Game Ready version!!) from the Official Drivers | NVIDIA and try try again.

Actually, this happens regardless the version. i have had these issues since version 23. 
I will ask my company to update the driver as it is not in my control. 
I will be sending a reply once these are done. These issues are not frequent so it might take some time. Like today photoshop is freezing again in a filebut lets it save and close.

You may want to backup your settings and custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences.

in case of future issues, I suggest you make a copy as Adobe may need one to check problematic references. 

Quit Photoshop.

If that doesn't fix the issue:

Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop.

Still hanging? 

Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. 

Do you still have problems?

It may even be time to reinstall Photoshop.

It’s recommended that you use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.

(See above about preserving preferences though! It’s worth preserving them unless they are corrupted.)

Uninstall Photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.

Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.

Hi,

 problems keeps changing type. 

my photoshop is managed by my employer,so i cant do anything like reuinstall etc.
latest update is done and driver update is donebut now there is a new issue. 
i have attached an image.

If you can't control the GPU driver, you're at a serious disadvantage. This is still very clearly an issue with the GPU and driver, and that's where troubleshooting starts.

The normal advice is:

•  install the Studio driver, not the Game Ready driver. The latter is what you get by default.
• perform a clean driver install to remove traces of any old driver. This is an option in the installer.
• Don't install the extra components in the driver package, like GeForce Experience, PhysX or whatever they're called. Only install the base driver, that's all you need.
