Which version of Photoshop are you running?

Does the following apply to you?

Adobe changed the Save As options in 22.4 back in May 2021 - a change required, so Adobe says, because Apple changed the Save As behaviour in macOS Big Sur. Thus, JPG was moved - not removed - to a new menu option: Save A Copy.

Following user complaints, a new Preference was introduced in 22.4.2 to allow us to revert to previous behaviour.

Preferences > File Handling > Enable legacy "Save As". Check that box in 22.4.2 (and later) and you can go back to Save As JPG.
