Gradient Tool, color picker not working

Hi so I do not know whether is this a bug, or a change in the system

I switch to the Classic Gradient (so dun need to tell me this)

However, I couldn't use the color picker tool to select the colors I want for my gradient as was in the past versions. Is there a new extra setting or is this a bug that I am seeing?

Ahh. Nevermind me, so after randomly clicking around. It seem like by default, after upgrading to the latest version, the color picker wouldn't work, until I selected one of the preset settings.
