Guide lines (cyan line dragged from rullers) vanish if I have an object selected

Hi! If I have an object selected and drag those cyan lines from the rulers to, for example, mark where's the middle point of the item, the line simply vanishes after I deselect said object. If I have nothing selected, no layer, and drag and drop a cyan line, it stays in place as always.

This has never happed before on prior Photoshop versions I used.

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Well, I don't know what happened, but I started Photoshop today and this problem was gone. Yesterday I tried restarting the program and the computer, but it didn't work.

Go figure hahaha if it happens again I'll try your idea, Jeff, thanks.
