I recently installed PS onto my work studio PC. It worked fine the first time I launched it. However, the next day Photoshop wouldn't open any files, either from Creative Cloud or local on the desktop, just returned an error message. Further, trying to quit Photoshop wouldn't work either - I got the same error message. The only way to close PS was to Force Quit via the Task Manager. Relaunching PS made no difference, restarting the PC made no diffference, uninstalling and resinstalling all didn't fix the issue.
I got help from Adobe and the solution is to remove the PS Settings folder, then relaunch and everything works as it should (except I've lost all my cusom brushes and any user settings.) - but this happens every time I quit Photoshop, the next time I launch I'm back with the error messages, nothing opening and unable to quit. I have to delete the settings folder every time I launch.
Obviously this isn't great - any help very welcome.

@River Clyde Homes have you tried rolling back to version 24.6
