[HELP] Prevent lasso activating if less than 3 pixels

The problem:

- If a selection is small enough, I deselect by tapping a non-selected area (less fatigue than ctrl D). This doesn't always work -- I have to be careful when tapping or else a tiny selection appears (or worse: "no pixels are more than 50% selected")

My work requires anti-aliasing to be on. Curious if there's a way to prevent a selection from activating if it's less than 3 pixels, for example.

Any suggestions appreciated. TY.

No, not within Photoshop out of the box.

I have been clicking to deselect just as you do for decades, but have never made a new selection when doing so. Check to see if you might be dragging the mouse just a smidge instead of clicking.

You can't make a selection with a click, afaik, you have to drag the mouse.

Apologies for the two-day delay in answering your post.

It might also be worth evaluating the whole workflow.

What input device is being used – mouse, tablet, …?

Why the Lasso Tool at all?

Could Layer Masks or Paths be used instead?
