Help restore the image under the green rectangle

I want to remove the colour from green rectangle overlay (ignore the white 'before', I'll clone stamp over that) so that the image under the rectangle is restored. I don't want to delete this part of the image, but instead wipe out (for lack of a better term) the green rectangle as though it wasn't there at all.

I've attached a file as an example with adjustment layers so you can see an example of how to do this and play with the sliders to experiment. You can do this many different ways and I know other experts will chime in with some great answers as well!
