Help with 3D: version 22.2.0 problem with .obj file

Hello! I need help with version 22.2.0. I took obj file and try to use layers. But i see only empty square without textures. What a reason and how to fix it?

What happens when you paint on that empty layer and save the texture psb? The model should update at that point.

As an aside, if you really want to paint a model with 3D textures which work across multiple 3D channels (e.g. Base Colour, Roughness, Metalness, Normal, Height ...etc ) I would recommend you use Adobe Substance Painter which is built from the ground up for this task.    3D in Photoshop is deprecated and being removed, but never worked particularly well or smoothly.
