Hello!
I have an issue with hidden parts of masks showing in the PDF Export from Illustrator.
The original document was created in Photoshop then opened in Illustrator to outline the text and then exported for print.
I have changed Raster Effect Settings from 72 to 300DPI and Transparency ( from Document Setup) to High Resolution. I have also changed them back and doesnt seem to resolve the issue.
Pics Before and After Export.
It doesnt happen if I Export the File directly from Photoshop. But I would like to keep text as clear as posible.
Do you guys have any tips? I would greatly appreciate it. 🙂

Try applying the mask in Photoshop first. Do this on a copy, as there is no going back

In Illustrator, use Save as not Export to create the PDF. Save the Illustrator file first.

Do you have any raster effects in Illustrator? Gaussian blur, drop shadow, etc.? The Raster Effects Setting for Pixels per Inch (PPI) only affects raster effects as the setting says.
I don't see any difference between your two photos. Can you show a screenshot from Photoshop with the image and the layer with the mask so we can see the issue more clearly?
Jane

Thank you for your reply 🙂
There is a slight white line at the bottom on second picture
The mask is applied in PS, I didn't edit anything in Illustrator except the text.
I dont think I have any raster effects, even tho I dont know all of them, the ones u mentioned I dont have them. I mostly used masks and brushes.

The line is only visible after export ( through save as => PDF)
