Hello,

I want to change a b/w plant illustration to color, retaining the blacks, but coloring the white field to a solid color, and the gray shading to that color [shaded]. I've tried a couple of tutorials I found online with no luck. I'd like to master this, as there are many more similar botanical drawings I will want to change to color.

Many thanks in advance.rose-sage.jpg

Lots of ways in photoshop to do that and here's one: Go to Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color, then change the Layer Blending Mode to Multiply (you can double click on the color fill icon in the layers panel to change the color)
