How do I change the default setting of the rectangle tool in Adobe Photoshop? Every time I make a rectangle, it gives does so with 10 pixel rounded corners. I have to manually change this to 0 every time I make a box. How do I change the default setting to 0?

Check the options bar, you probably have a value in the Feather field. Set that to 0 or try resetting the tool. Instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#tool
