Lots of effects come in .psd format, and I am expected to change the demo imaga in the layer.
But that often results in a small image like this:
Even though the image is not small.
I don't want to open PSD-s and change the image, I don't think that is the logical way to do this.
How do I save this effect so that I can apply it to any image that is already opened?
You do that by recording the effect as an action, and then run the action whenever you need it.

We are volunteer helpers/advisors. We have given you the correct answer, but you don't like it. Here is an example of what can be saved as a layer style and added to the library:
I draw a fortune teller. I like the way the crystal ball turned out.
So I click on that layer. The Blending Modes come up. I check "New Style," and now it is in my library.
What you have is not this. It is not possible to do what you want to do. Creating a new action involves recording the steps you yourself take in the editing process. You are trying to make an action from someone else's work. It does not work that way. What you have is a layer. A texure overlay. To use it again, you must open the psd and drag the layer over to what you are working on.

And a lot of garbage in the psd file that I don't need.
I will post the action if I managed to make it.
You are trying to make an action from someone else's work.
What's the problem?
And I know that it's possible to make an action out of this.
I will figure it out and post it to prove it that there is a 1 click effect solution to this from the menu, even if you keep denying it.

I applied 900 MB advanced painting effects in 1 click as an action. (i did not create that action)
So stop lying saying that this small insifnificant effect cannot be applied in 1 click from a PS menu.
It's possible, and I will prove it!
