How do you close the expansion window in the character panel?

This is a terrible feature to me. Personally, I prefer seeing the expansion list within the panel. This separate panel covers art immediately and I cannot seem to move its location. If I could reposition it, it would probably not be as terrrible but it's dead center. 

Anyone know a fix for this? TIA!

That's odd.  Mine is always appearing imediately below the panel.  Try Window > Workspace > Reset (the workspace you are using)

OK, I can make the fonts panel float if I use the dropdown in the Contextual Task Bar.  Is that what you are doing?
