Hello!
This is my first time posting to the forum.
I’m working on creating a photo mosaic background for filming videos. I came across this article https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/photography/hub/features/make-memorable-photo-mosaics.html that recommends using around 150 photos to create a mosaic. However, my final design will be quite large, with dimensions of 1705 mm H x 2475 mm W. Given the size, I’m concerned that 150 photos might not be enough.
Since this is my first time creating a mosaic, I’m not sure how many photos would be ideal for a design of this scale. I’ll be designing it in Photoshop first before printing each photo and assembling the collage by hand.
Does anyone have experience creating mosaics at this scale and can suggest how many photos would work best?
Thanks in advance for your help! 🙂

What will the final image be used for? Will it be printed, and if yes, at what size? Will it be the 1705 mm H x 2475 you mentioned?
OK, I can see I was not understanding what a photo mosiac is. I was thinking more of a montage, but a mosiac usues multiple images to create the effect of a single image like below.
With this in mind, the deciding factor is how complex is the overal image you want to create? The more detail it has, the the more contributing images you will need. The image above has something like 5000 images.
