Is there a way for me to print-write my own alphabet & numbers and add it to my fonts in Photoshop?

Creating a font normally requires a font software program. Once you create the font, you should. Be able to add it to Photoshop.

Got any suggestions for a good (simple) font generating program?
I haven't used any, so I don't have any recommendations.
One I know of is https://www.high-logic.com/font-generator/scanahand. I've not used it, but I have used other font software from the same company without complaint.

Scanahand looks like it only works on a windows system. I'm on a Mac so not right for me.
I am not a typographer, either, but I suspect that »simple« and »font creation« might not go together …
