How to adjust a small part of a magnetic selection

Hi,

I have a selection done with magnetic lasso of a face but there is a small part that is not needed, like a bulge.

How can I adjust it, so that it can be moved inward to the correct position?

I would enter Quick Mask mode (q key shortcut or at the foot of the toolbox), adjust the selection mask, and press q again to return to a selection. You may need to ensure that the edit is the same as the original selection (hard brush, blur everything the same or threshold 128 etc. in quick mask mode for a uniform selection).

You could also use the opt/alt key to draw a selection to remove from the existing selection.
