Hello

In this musical score, you can see that the black color is faned : the musical notes are not completely black (they are black and white). How to fix this problem in Photoshop, in order to have the musical notes completely black ?

If you zoom into this musical score, you can see that the notes are not completely black.

My goal would be to repair/restore the notes in order to become completely black. Does Photoshop is able to do it ?

You could try gausssian blur followed by a curves layer the aim being to fill the tiny 'holes' in the black print. However it is not perfect and will require manual touch up to define some of the notes.

You may be better off trying a score printing and layout application that supports OCR for music. That way the score would be read and printed brand new, rather than trying to tidy up defects in an image.

You could use the Minimum filter, with a little Levels to clean up the whites. It does make lines thicker, so a small amount is called for. Using the Preserve Roundness option allows a finer adjustment.
