How to get a clean mask on difficult flowers

Hello, i'm trying to get the flowers on a color fill layer however i'm having a really difficult time selecting and masking out the flowers as some of the original flower is black as well and the background is black. Help please 😞

 I bumped up the vibrance, saturation and brightness to create contrast with background and Im able to get a very good mask by using color range. I turned off the color layers after that. How do i arrange the layers so i can do another color range on the greens as well to put on a color fill layer?
