Hi! I've drawn something with brush (closed shape). I want to select it with magic wand (outside of the shape and outside of the stroke), but Photoshop selects also a part inside this shape with pencil. I don't want this to happen. I tried to diselect the area inside the shape with an alt, but it doesn't work. I know magic wand choses all things with the same color, but I saw in the tutorial that a person was doing the same and only outside of the similar shape was selected so it has to be possible somehow, but it wasn't described in the tutorial...
I want to achieve it, because later I want to invert the selection to be able to paint this shape inside with bucket tool or gradient tool. I also attached an example in screenshot. Do you have any ideas how to solve it and will it work with filling this shape? Thank you in advance
Check Contiguous before using the Magic Wand Tool.
If you have painted stroke on separate layer with transparency around stroke use Ctrl + click on layers thumbnail to select content on layer.
