I can not add a grid to the image

I seem to be doing everything right: I create an empty layer, then go to the filter - correct perspective -- overlay the grid - click on the grid display in PS, but for some reason it is not displayed and I cannot edit it, I don't know what to do.

Hi

It's not clear what you doing or trying to do. A grid is not a filter, so I may be misunderstanding. To create and use a grid, there are three steps:

  1. See the Grid: View > Show > Grid

  2. Use the Grid: View > Snap To > Grid

  3. Set the Grid units: Preferences > Guides, Grid, & Slices

Please clarify if you are asking something else.
