I saved but photoshop only saved a shortcut

Hi, I just had a weird instance.

My comp crashed. When it came back to, I saved my file. When I went to open it again the saved file says it's a shortcut and is "missing shortcut".

Anyway I can get my document back?

Can you post screenshot to illustrate the issue?
It will be useful if you can explain again your situation: your computer crashed right? You saved your document before computer crashed? Photoshop was in use when computer crashed with document open or not? When you tried to open saved document (eg document.psd) it appears document file is converted to shortcut?
