Illustrator smart objects not opening

Hey guys, been having this issue for months now.

I paste a vector smart object from AI to PS, all is sweet. But when I double click to edit the VSO, I get this error:
The application “Adobe Illustrator 2022.app” can’t be opened. -1703

23.3.2 version Photoshop

26.3.1 version Illustrator

System:

2019 iMac running 12.3
3.6GHz i9
64gb RAM

I also get this issue on my M1 Max Macbook Pro.

Apple came out with a fix for this issue. Update your macOS to 12.3.1.
