I received a very bad image (copy machine quality) of my 3rd great-grandfather's ship (attached). What can I do in Photoshop to make this better? I am on a MacBook Air running macOS Monterey V12.6 and Photoshop V24.0.0 (yearly subscription). Thank you in advance!

There's really not much you can do. A slight blur and overlaying multiple layers of this on itself with slight offsets using Multiply blending mode might make it more solid, but it won't bring back more details.

As Mylenium states, you can't do much with this. It would be better to try and track down the name of your great-grandfather's ship and try and trace a good-quality image.
