Images freezing while working on them.

At the moment, I’m having problems with my images freezing while working on them in Photoshop. I then have to save and reopen the image to work it again. This happend on my old computer, but now I have a new Apple Mac, you wouldn't think this would be a problem anymore. Has anyone on here had this problem? Thanks 🙏

On Photoshop: Go to preferences, then performance. See how much memory usage you have set for photoshop. Maybe you can allow more usage.

It does allow me to have more usage, but still it doesn't make a difference.

If Photoshop freezes I would expect it to be impossible to save the open images so what exactly do you mean by »images freezing«? 

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far? 

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

My images freeze, ie none of the tools will work, but if I press comand s, it will save back to where I opened it from.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Do the »freezes« happen in connection with Path operations or randomly?
