Index color picker is automatically selecting black

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone knows how to stop this glitch-

Recently when I have been indexing colors I have been having trouble changing my selected colors from the color table manually. The color table pops up but when I go to select a color from the 'color picker window' I am not able slide the color picker around - instead, when I click into the color picker window,  the slide selector automatically goes to the bottom of the window selecting black and won't let me select any other color. I am only able to select from my pre-saved swatches to change the color from black.

If you have any ideas, I would be very appriciative!

(I have already tried restarting my photoshop and computer)

Thank you,

I'm having the same issue, and on top of that Photoshop remains non-responsive for a few minutes every time I quit the color table dialog. That only happens when indexing files and trying to pick colors manually, either with the eyedropper or using the slides.

Update: Other people at the office are experiencing the exact same problem.

So frustrating!!

I still haven't figured out how to stop this glitch -

Only helpful thing I've found is is you select a color from the color table and hold down on the picker and move it around it can change to a selected color, but if you click into the picker instead of holding down the button it immdiatly selects black. This has worked most of the time but still sometimes have to quit out and start again.

Unfortunately this workaround doesn't help here... 😕

I'm keeping CS6 installed just to index my files...

I'm having the same issue..... Also I usually place my palette in a window side by side and eyedrop the color I need into my color table. Now it seems the eyedroper also isn't able to pick up the correct color of my palette file.  Any advice?
