Installing asl styles

Hello, I have installed asl files into photoshop (styles) by dragging the asl file into the PS icon on the dock. Worked fine. When I closed PS and came back in they were gone. Am I installing incorrectly?

Install them from the styles panel. Right click on the panel menu.
