It's a drop shadow. Very easy to apply:
1. Right-click on the image (it has to be isolated on its own layer)
2. Select "Blending Modes" from the dropdown menu
3. Select Drop Shadow
...........................................................
2. Play with the Opacity and Size sliders till it looks the way you want it to.

The top image is the effect I want, a box shadow effect on all sides. I like images best when there's beeen good lighting with a soft shadow cast around a painting. I'm not looking for a drop shadow tutorial, I know how that's done but I've searched for tutorials for a soft shadow on all sides, same as first image. Box shadow is the closest term , that's my guess. If anyone can point me to a template on Adobe Stock, or supply a tutorial, would so appreciate that. I have basic PS skills , not a pro here!

Thanks Leslie Moak Murray! I'll try this in a day or so. Have a deadline I'm working towards so will give it a try after that's over. Looks like it should be simple. Thanks again.
