Is there a way to automate this very mundane task of saving hundreds of similiar images?

Client asked me to create a mockup of an everyday use object with a different, yet very similar design. Overall I have something more than 1000 images which mostly consist of:
- product A with pattern Z
- Product A, different shot, Pattern Z

- product A with pattern X
- Product A, different shot, Pattern X
- product B, with pattern Z
- Product B, different shot, pattern Z

As long as the job was to create the mockups, saving manually wasn't a problem. However due to a small mistake (corrected quickly by actions) I now have an enormous amount of files to overwrite, and I will go insane if I have to do it manually

Basically the process looks like this
I have a Photoshop file with an empty product image. On Top of that, there is a folder with a mask and effects, inside of it, every pattern is its own layer (so like, 400 layers). I manually choose the next layer, turn off the previous one, export png, locate the correct folder (every pattern has its own folder), save that image, back to photoshop, choose the next layer....

I would love to automate this, however I don't even know what keywords I should search for. I imagine that manually choosing the correct folder may be a bit of a problem, still, they follow a pattern, because it's always the folder below the previous one.

You're going to need a custom script.

Is there any relationship between the name of the pattern layer and the name of the pattern folder on drive that automation could use to automatically save the output in the correct location? Can you provide a screenshot of the layers panel with the patterns visible and a screenshot of the corresponding pattern folder structure on your drive?

You will need to upload say 3 random copies of example layered PSD files. You can reduce the resolution of these examples as only the file structure is important. Only include 5 different textures, not all 400 textures.

Please provide a meaningful and comprehensible description of the process and the Layer- and pattern-file-structure, ideally with screenshots to illustrate.
