Is there a way to opt out of "save as a copy" in CC2021?

I would love to skip "save as a copy" and be able to just pick the file type to which I want to save.  It's such a time-consuming pain when storing, for instance, family photos.  Or, is there a way to direct "save as a copy" to choose jpg automatically?

Thank you,

Bruce
